WITH OUR NEW 580P
Costa 580P (polycarbonate) lenses are our latest, greatest achievement. When we
introduced 580 technology in glass, we immediately began being asked when we’d
offer a polycarbonate version. “As soon as it’s possible”, was our response. Truth is,
we weren’t about to put out a polycarbonate 580 lens until we found a material that
would allow us clarity and durability worthy of Costa. After more than two years of
testing and refinement, we nailed it. And when people try on a pair, they’ll see that
our patience paid off. Here are the nuts and bolts of our newest technology-rich lens.
TRUE 5 8 0 TECHNOLOGY
Just like Costa 580G, our new Costa 580P lenses block yellow light, boost red and green light, and
increase polarizing efficiency. They are the clearest lenses on the planet.
LIGHTWEIGHT
The reason people love polycarbonate lenses in their sunglasses is first and foremost because
they’re lightweight. With the introduction of 580P, they can now get Costa 580 clarity in a pair of sunglasses that are so lightweight they might forget they’re even on.
IMPACT-RESISTANT
We know the type of people who wear Costas and we know the type of things they spend their time doing. Costa 580P lenses have been tested to meet or exceed the rigorous impact standards set forth by the American National Standards Institute, including ANSI Z80.3 and ANSI Z87.1.
DURABLE
For the 580P lens we developed a proprietary coating called C-WALL. The C-WALL coating is a
molecular bonding process with an oleophobic, hydrophobic hard coating that repels water, oil,

DURABILITY I S BAKED INTO EVERY LENS
We call C-WALL a coating, but i t ’s really much more than that. It is technology
that is literally part of the lens. We found a way to fuse the durable components
with the lens. So rather than a separate layer applied to the lens, i t ’s baked
into the lens chemically, the lens and the ‘coating’ are one in the same for
durability through and through.
