This flexible and capable media center smoothly handles audio, video and digital media (AM/FM/CD/DVD/XM/Sirius/iPod®/SD card). This stereo is manufactured with XM-Ready technology. The actual XM Mini Tuner and Home Dock, made by Audiovox, are sold separately. The cartridge incorporates a Radio ID number for registration with XM Radio. Once the cartridge is activated with a subscription, the radio will receive XM and Sirius satellite signals. The Home Dock is the dock that the cartridge plugs into. The DVD-3 controls your iPod® with full navigation of all menus and is equipped with 2 auxiliary inputs for other MP3 players as well. The 4 X 50 watt amplifier delivers power to spare. The IP66 rating ensures protection against water, dust salt/fog and UV. Unlike other re-purposed car stereos that oxidize in moist environments, the AQ-DVD-3 and 3B have a ZAM-coated Steel Chassis to protect from corrosion. The conformal-coated circuit boards also have silicone added in critical areas to protect them from moisture. The transport mechanism meets commercial grade specifications of -20°C to 70°C. (most other third-party units only meet -10°C to 60°C degrees) The DVD player features an LCD Dot Matrix display with 2-stage dimmer control, RCA inputs and 4-volt outputs. This unit includes a DSP (Digital Sound Processor) as well as sub-woofer output control. The special "Two Zone" capability enables listening to two different sources in two different zones at the same time. AQ-DVD-3 is equipped with two 12-volt triggers on/off and four 5-volt triggers that are momentary and the FM tuner has USA/Euro switchable frequency. The unit is available in silver and black matte finish (AQ-DVD-3B).
