From the titanium-coated dome tweeters to the polypropylene mid-woofer cone, rubber insulated leads, and gold-plated terminals, The CM1635’s were made to handle the marine environment. Clarion takes it a step further when it comes to the speaker grilles and frames, creating them out of a non-corrosive, high-impact material called Centrex 814. Its properties make it resistant to cracking and discoloration. These water resistant speakers meet or exceed ASTM B117 (resistance to salt or fog exposure) and ASTM D4329 (resistance to UV exposure) standards, feature a protected magnet and rear cone design, a water drainage channel, rubber insulated tinsel leads, and gold-plated speaker terminals. The CM1635 component marine speaker system also features 1” titanium-coated dome tweeters, Sanoprene rubber surrounds, speaker cable support tabs, and rubber mounting gaskets. Stainless steel mounting hardware included.
